    David Bridgeman is Head of Event Operations & Logistics for SWIFT & Sibos, managing a global team that delivers a portfolio of events for the financial industry. 

    David started his career on the event agency side, which enabled him to develop a wealth of knowledge of the events industry and a strong network of events contacts. His early experience of Sibos started in 2006 when he was an external consultant to SWIFT, bringing skills and experience in live event production, relationship management, supplier management and business management within the financial industry. David joined SWIFT full time in 2012 and his role has since grown to cover relationship management, event management, key client management, sales team management, budget management, strategic communications, RFP management, and project management.

    Working closely with the Head of Sibos, David is the lead contact for the selected Sibos host city. His role ensures clear communication and a seamless transition in bridging relations between SWIFT, the host city, the host venue and a wide range of Sibos suppliers.       

    Prior to joining SWIFT, David held a key account management role for a leading event management organisation with responsibilities for key accounts such as Microsoft, Cisco, Gartner, and GSK. He holds a qualification in Sports and Leisure Management. David is Irish.

    Thomas F. (Tommy) Goodwin is the Vice President of Government Affairs for the Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance (ECA), a newly-formed association dedicated to the recovery and advancement of the business events industry. 

    In this role, he leads ECA’s advocacy on behalf the interconnected ecosystem of exhibitors, show and event organizers, suppliers, venues, and destinations that comprise the $396 billion business events landscape.

    Prior to joining ECA, he spent more than 20 years leading a wide range of government relations, public affairs, and issue advocacy efforts for several globally-recognized associations and corporations, including Oracle Corp., AARP, and the Project Management Institute (PMI). Additionally, he was a research fellow at Harvard Business School focused on the international political and legal environment in which business operates.

    Recognized by The Hill in its 2020 list of association “Top Lobbyists,” he has a B.B.A. from The George Washington University, an M.B.A. from Auburn University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in European Union Law from King’s College London. He also holds a Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and a Project Management Professional certification from PMI. 

    He currently serves on ASAE’s International Associations Advisory Council and the European Society of Association Executives’ Advocacy Committee.
